Kihon
Kihon – The Foundations of JKA Karate in Darwin
Kihon (basics) is the technical heart of Japan Karate Association (JKA) Shotokan. Every stance, block, punch, strike, kick and moving drill builds correct body alignment, hip rotation, timing, power and control.
At our Darwin Shotokan dojo, Kihon is taught step‑by‑step with clear explanations, traditional JKA discipline and a strong focus on practical self‑defence for kids, teens and adults across Darwin, Palmerston and surrounding NT suburbs.
